Can you believe it's Thursday already?!

This week has really flown by. I spent most of it catching up with my editing and working on a few little pet projects. That means I went and bought a couple of new little gadgets that I can't wait to try out! I'll let you know how the tests go and if it turns out well I'll post a example. If not....well, I will hope you won't read back that far to check! Just kidding!

Here's a collage from this past weekend and the Run To Joe's 5K that I covered. What a gorgeous morning for a run and a really super turnout!

Quick note...

I have added a link on the side panel there that goes to a slideshow of various images I have taken. It's a little bit of everything in no particular order. If you have a few minutes, sit back, relax and take a look.

Wow, what a weekend! And today I spent most of the day catching up on the things I put off because I was busy shooting all weekend. But that doesn't mean I still didn't take a little time to put something together to show everyone what I had been up to. The link below will take you to a slideshow that has a bunch of pictures from this weekend and also some others from the past. It's always fun to go back and revist those. That's exactly why you should get some portraits done now! Ok, enough about that, here's the link to the gallery. There are little control on the bottom right hand side of the new window that will allow you to play the show, look at the photo descriptions, etc. Enjoy! MOVED EVERYTHING TO MAIN SLIDE SHOW I'll be adding more later as I figure these out a little better so keep on checking back!

Also, I would like to say "Thanks!" to Seth and Angela. They have just booked their wedding with me and I am very excited to have the opportunity to be apart of their special day. Keep checking back for snapshots as we go along toward the big day!

And last but not least, I was contacted by a company who specializes in providing photos to people who use the online dating services. If you have ever seen these services you will know that most of the photos there are less than the perfect "first impression" you are trying to make. Anyway, these folks have asked me to be a part of their network in the Fort Worth area. I'm really happy to do this too and I hope that I can help folks find their true love. Hmmm... Maybe I'll have to offer a special package if they use me for their wedding!

Alright, that's about it for now. Thanks again for visiting!

Playing catch up here!

What a busy week! It has also been a lot of fun. I spent a few days shooting baseball, talking with a wedding client, meeting a fellow photographer and shooting with him at the racetrack. Thanks David, I had a blast! I can't wait to get back there with you. The I also had the opportunity to shoot a 5k run that benefits the Samaritan House. It was a perfect day and there were plenty of runners out there to enjoy it. I think everyone had a great time.

Anyway, enough rambling. Here are some pictures from the past few days. I'll see if I can't put a few more up when I get few spare minutes! Let me know what you think!

Opening day!

Well, it was opening day for Colleyville Youth Baseball and I was able to get out there and watch some kids just having a blast! It was a little chilly but these guys were giving it their all. The Yanks and the Longhorns! Maybe a little Texas versus New York rivalry....

Rainy days....

Well, doesn't it seem to always be like this? We go months without a drop and then it pours for three straight days! Oh well, we needed it here in the Fort Worth area anyway. It also gave me a chance to do a little editing and post a couple of pictures to the new gallery in the online sales.

Online Sales Gallery

Here's a collage from the implosion that is available there if you would like your own copy, minus the watermark of course! It's a beautiful and large piece of work and this image is only a small version. I will be adding more and more to this gallery so check back often!

What a view!!

I had a great opportunity today to be in a spectacular position to view the implosion in Fort Worth today. The Landmark Tower was brought down in a matter of about 15 seconds. Those guys doing the demolition sure know what they are doing. The building fell exactly as planned. It was really an incredible sight. Here are a few shots from the sequence I shot, I hope you enjoy them!

A big "THANKS" to John Kirby for opening his home to me which allowed me to get these great captures!

Here's a link to more implosion pictures: Landmark Implosion

I told you there were newlyweds strolling!!!!

Some more from today's visit to the Arboretum...

Dallas Blooms

What a perfect day! The weather was wonderful and I had a chance to meet up with some friends in Dallas and visit "Dallas In Bloom" at the Dallas Arboretum. Wow, it was spectacular! The colors were just bursting and the happy sounds of children enjoying themselve was all around. We saw more than a few bride-to-be's and even a newlywed couple taking a stroll. If you get a chance I highly recommend a visit. Be sure to take your camera!

Garden Project

I had the pleasure to shoot a great project today. The Samaritan House in Fort Worth had a group of kids from Riverside Middle School come over and help with a garden project. These kids were great! My hat is off to everyone who made this possible. The kids got to help plant some flowers and learn a little more about the mission of Samaritan House as part of their school Social Studies course.

It was a beautiful day after a rather blustery overnight and I think everyone involved had a good time.

Hello again!

Hi everyone,

Last night I had the opportunity to take some pictures for a local area magazine at a get-together for "Putting on the Pink" at Park Place Motorcars in Fort Worth. I had a great time meeting and snapping pictures of everyone. Hopefully, some will make their way into the magazine. I'll let you know when I know!

Oh, and the picture shows the fantastic pink apples! Delicious!!

Also, just a quick note that Jill's pictures are now available for viewing. Since they are hers, I have forwarded her a link and you can email her for that link. I apologize for the extra step however it let's Jill control who is looking at her wedding pictures. I'm sure you can all understand.

Rounding out a full day...

Wow, what a day. Soccer all morning, captions to write afterward, and a photo session in the late afternoon into the evening. Lot's of editing to get to for sure! I had a great time working with Lisa and her family tonight. I'm sure we captured some very special moments and I'm sure she'll be pleased.

Sunday is another packed day. I've got to shoot the construction updates for the Villages at Samaritan House in the morning and then I have friends coming over in the afternoon and we're going to do some horse riding. Hopefully I can talk them into maybe doing a bit of modeling!

I hope the weather is as nice as it was today!

What a blast!

It was opening day of the soccer season for the Grapevine, Southlake and Colleyville areas. A beautiful day that was filled with bright colors, laughter and a whole bunch of kids having a great time. I got some great images and I'm hoping that a few of them will make it into the area's newspapers!

These two aren't very happy with the outcome of a referee's call!

In this picture I think Coach Kevin Gibson of Razzle Dazzle may be on the losing end of the discussion!

Soccer games today!

Well, it looks like I will be busy today. I have an assignment from the area newspaper I work with. I'm going to head over to Grapevine and Southlake to shoot some kids soccer. I hope the weather holds. There's a slight chance of thunderstorms so I'll be keeping my fingers crossed!

Jill's album is finished!

Here's a teaser picture spread from the album. I am so excited! I love it and it was so much fun to put together for them! Once Jill and Brian have seen it and agree to let me show you all, I will post a link here. Check back soon.

Some recent happenings...

What a week! I had a great time photographing Jill and Brian's wedding. Jill looked so beautiful and they were both so excited. I was glad that they allowed me to be a part of their wedding. We are going through the images and I have started putting together an album for them to look at. Once it's all finished and Jill and Brian have had a chance to see everything we will be posting the images to the web for folks to view and purchase if they would like. You can get to the online sales from either the main blog page or there will be a link on the quinncophoto.com web site.
